Daft Punk’s Tron: Legacy Soundtrack Gets November Release Date
by The MCP on Jul.07, 2010, under Tron Legacy News (and other sci-fi news)

The rumblings that Daft Punk would be contributing the score for Disney’s upcoming Tron sequel, Tron: Legacy, have had fans on the edge of their seats for over a year. Besides the fact that new Daft Punk material is always a cause for celebration, this is arguably one of the greatest sci-fi pairings in history. With the movie due on December 17, the only sample of their score has been in the film’s trailer. Now, however, we’ve learned that the soundtrack finally has a release date.
The Stranger points to an Amazon listing for Daft Punk’s Tron: Legacy soundtrack, and while there are very few details, the album was given a November 23 release date. The release will be available through Walt Disney Records, and Amazon is expected to start taking pre-orders soon.

Is Daft Punk giving MCP 9000 credit for the overall sound that they established in 2008 with the VXF trailer? I’ve seen sites with a few tracks from the Daft Punk Tron soundtrack and it has MCP9000’s track as Daft Punks.
